The companion has a 30 amp plug. But you can (and I did) connect two REGULAR EU Honda's together.

If you click on the link in my earlier post about this, the video shows how to make a simple connection between two Honda gensets, that has a 30A RV plug, and provides all the power from both gennies to that receptacle, accomplishing the same result as paralleling a regular Honda with a Companion Honda. Bottom line, you don't need the Companion to do this. You ask why Honda sells the Companion? -- I suppose because they can, but you can easily do it with any two Honda gensets, I understand even mixing the 1000, 2000, or 3000 gensets.
