- wa8yxmExplorer IIIHow long can you run it... I like to shut down at least once a month and clean the filters... but actually... "Several months"
You only need to turn it off for cleaning from time to time.. at least twice a year to clean the condenser coils outside, and I recommend once a month or two inside filters. - bbaker2001Explorermake sure to use proper cable. I tried a 12 gauge extension cable, almost melted the connection
- bdpreeceExplorer IIJust got back from a trip through Las Vegas NV, Laughlin NV and Yuma AZ. Roof airs ran almost continually for 6 weeks.

X2. I run ours 24/7 in hot weather. It doesn't hurt anything, except the electric bill. - RV_daytraderExplorerActually, constant running is easier on the compressor than on-off, on-off running. Having a clean condensor coil will head pressure and amp draw down.
- eichacsjExplorerAgree with smkettner it is a machine. I hope it can run continuously here in AZ when it is on it run constant, it may shut off in the wee hours of the morning but otherwise it runs all the time.
- tmartin000Explorer IIThanks guys. :)
WX is universal for weather - DutchmenSportExplorerSorry, I'm "texting illiterate!" What does "wx" mean?
You "should" be able to run your air conditioner continuously, no problem. Provided your wires do not over heat. If the wire outside your camper connected to the electric source is in the sun, and the electric draw on your camper is extreme, it could cause the wire to heat up quite a bit. That would be the only concern I'd have.
So ... what is "wx"? - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIUntil it breaks.........
