Alright so I disconnected the negative lead on the fridge and ran my multimeter between it with the fridge on gas and it only showed 0.335 amps, which I assume is probably normal. I don't have a tank heater but I did confirm that the compartment lights do run off the fridge's circuit, all of them are off though.
I spoke with a local guy that works on RV's and he suggested setting the meter to ohms and the touching both the positive and the negative at the terminal block and if it showed continuity then there was a short somewhere. I did that and in fact it did show continuity. Is that correct, does that mean there is short?
It does have a “Climate Control” switch but it is off and has been off. I tried cutting it on to see if that had any effect but it didn't as far as I could tell.
To test the amp load I am pulling the ground cable and placing the multimeter on it and the negative terminal. I don't have any type of clips but I just stand there and see what my reading is. It is 9.5 amps with the fridge fuse in and 0.223 with it out.
I'm sure with ya'lls help I can get this thing taken care ;) Keep that advice coming.
