RWDIII, I live in the valley also. I camp a lot up north in summer. Things will soot up. About once a year I blow out everything. Fridge, furnace & water heater. Also spiders love the smell of propane & will spin webs in there. Once @ Happy Jack my furnace would not light. Pulled the outside vent out & found it full of webs. Blew it out and it worked. They will all quit or work below capacity with low batt voltage. On a hunting trip years ago my furnace quit. Fan would run but no heat. Then later learned that the sail switch needs more than 10.5v for the blower or the gas will not turn on. This is to make sure there is enough air flow to the burner to prevent an explosion. My oem monitor said Batt good. But was below 10.5v. I now have a Volt meter to check things Not exactly sure what your problem was but these are a few things I have learned the hard way over the years. Good Luck.
