Hot water circulation pump
Was thinking of installing a 12-24V Hot water circulation pump between the hot and cold lines under our bathroom sink. The sink is farthest from the hot tank and it takes about 15sec of wasted water before hot water appears at the tap.
I would rather use a pump instead, tapped between the two lines under the sink, to recirculate the cold water from the hot water line over to the cold water line using a simple on/off button switch. I vaguely recall somebody here doing this?
Does this work? My main concern is that normal operation would somehow be affected. Like when drawing water from the cold tap, would hot water be drawn through the pump into the cold line, and vica-versa?
