You failed to include important yet rather "obscure" details like inverter/converter PLUS SOLAR = House batteries off gassing..
Perhaps you should include a bit more detail like solar panel wattage AND qty of group 27 batteries?
Failing to give complete details = lots of guessing.
By the way, USE A SEPARATE VOLT METER OF KNOW GOOD ACCURACY connected directly to the house battery.. This WILL give you a much more accurate picture at to what is going on.
Pretty fair chance that your solar panel volt meter is not accurate and or you are just reporting what it is SET TO.
Small details like the wiring resistance between the solar controller can skew the voltage reported.
