house batterys
I have 2 12 volt battery's for the house. When I am hooked up to shore power one battery is real hot and one is not. Do I have a bad battery or is my charging unit over charging?

Batteries in parallel can explode if one starts to fail.
Disconnect both and let them sit until cool. Measure the terminal voltage on both and I bet one is low. It will be good for a core.
Do not parallel to lead/acid batteries that are in any way different.
