Larger 24V panels are always cheaper than smaller 12V, per watt. Besides, AM is an expensive store (they have some unique products though), while Solar Blvd is a not.
Though, 235W is a bit less than 4*100W, and 10-15A MPPT controller would cost around $200. There are those $10 mystery boxes from Ebay, but when I read reports like "fake MPPT" and inability to change the settings, doesn't sound like my cup of tea. If the goal is to maximize the wattage, with this long and narrow space you will have to go 12V panels and PWM controller. For 300 AH battery bank you will need 300-400W array, so 4*100W sounds good. Shop around, 12W panels are getting less popular due to solar market driven mostly by residential high-wattage installations, so there is not much choice or bargains in 12V area.
