You think that MPPT 60 will expand your options.
There is no such thing as too much solar energy. But, with portables, it can be "too much". Portable will be small, 100 or 180W. Still, it will weigh 30 lbs and will need a storage space inside, together with bundle of wires. I think if you max up the roof space and put 400W 12V, you will find that adding a portable 180W is not worth the trouble. (And even if you add 200W portable to your planned 300W, MPPT 45 will be enough).
