Single battery? I would get a 30 amp IOTA over the 60 amp PD.

You will only get about 40 amps into the battery from a 1000va generator. PD might work fine as it will be limited with one battery. PD-60 does have the potential to overload the Honda. Consider a PD9140 with wizard pendent.
The 7155 works fine because of the single battery and lower fixed voltage. You will never see 55a out of it. It is about voltage not the amp rating. 13.6v is slow, 14.4/14.6 volts from the PD or IOTA is fast.
"best" of course would be 100 to 150 watts of solar :B
