Last year we had a 28 Keystone RLS, with one A/C unit, in a duck system. Visiting our Daughter in Dallas Texas, taught us a lesson, on the need for 2 AC systems in summer heat. This year we have a Reflection 303 RLS 5th Wheel, with 2 AC units. The new 5th wheel has an R40 roof and R30 floors. The previous light weight TT had nothing near that. The 2nd AC unit helps lower the temps quickly, and keep them there. The Grand Design Reflection this summer has maintained 73-75 degrees, in the daytime, with no issues all day long, even when feel like temperatures outside, have hit 109.
One key point is; AC units need to cycle. That's why in a couple places we camped this summer, we had to raise the inside temp to 75 instead of 73 a couple days.
