How do you secure your portable Progressive Industries EMS

I keep a stretch of chain that I slipped into a bicycle inner tube so I don't scratch anything it's attached to. Two pad locks, one for each end, gives maximum locking flexibility.
Often, I find myself a little embarrassed while locking stuff up around a CG, showing my lack of trust/faith in my fellow campers, but I do it anyway. Then, I forget about it and relax.
