The oil change place.. You should have complained up the management tree.. A Quick Lube place did that to my M-I-Ls car and they made good no problem.
The Zerk fitting....
In years past the folks who worked behind the counter at auto-parts-r-us were auto people. they knew cars, they know how to build 'em they know how to fix 'em they knew the parts that went in 'em and they often had axel grease under their fingernails and 40 weight oil in their veins (ok that last bit about the 40 weight not true) they were on a first name basis with the folks in Hastings, MI who make Piston Rings,, I mean THEY KNEW THEIR BUSINESS.
Today they are often kinds just out of high school and do not know a zerk fitting from an intake manifold. What can I say.. Different ages.
