Another point about zerk fittings: Many are now just pressed in with no threads. If it pops out in the grease gun just clean everything up and drive it back in. Next time you lube, get a needle valve type fitting for your gun and grease it right through the ball in the middle of the fitting.
Going to be looking for oversized zerk fitting today. If I can't find any is it alright to just a hole where zerk fitting used to be. I tired keeping zerk in place with teflon tape, it just fell out again???
Saw press in type today. I don't like but maybe that is progress?
