While using most of the suggestions here for the last 27 years, the between the lines and not more than a quarter bubble off in all the different types of levels.
I was told recently by an OLD TIMER, older than me and just a little newer than dirt,and has been at this twice as long as me.
That it is more critical when running on propane that when running on electricity, some thing to do with the way that the flame hits the boiler if not level, where on electricity it doesn't matter as much.
Is there any truth to that or is it an old wives tale from when the old ones would burn down because the flame was not going straight up under the boiler.
