How long do we want batteries to last ?
IMO, and IME, nothing is simpler to maintain than LA RV batteries. When connected to a decent charger, and watered once...maybe twice a year, and maybe hosed off once in a while, they last an easy 8-1...

I'm with you RJsfishin and said a similar thing in the current AGM thread.
I count on my batteries lasting 7 years minimum and that includes my flooded, AGM, and Gel batteries. Yes, I have them all and treat them all the same. The basic chemistry is the same for all three.
If they fail a few months earlier because I didn't obsess over them, so be it.
I water my flooded batteries twice a year.
