Well, the battery in my Keystone lasted almost 8 years and I never added a drop of water to it ... never. I also kept it on the camper and never took it off. I also kept the camper plugged in 24x7. Corrosion did cause the red wire to wear in two, and I had to replace the red wire on that camper. But that was the second time I ever had to disconnect the battery. The first was when I painted the tongue of the camper.
So, how long do I expect my battery to last ... how about "forever!" If I never had to buy another one and the current battery ran "forever!" I'd be delighted!
But I know that ain't gonna happen.
When I replaced that honkin' marine battery on my Springdale, the store I bought it from said it was guaranteed for only 1 year! Well, I sold the camper before that year was up.
So, I suppose the goal is to keep the battery longer than 1 year!
So, how long do I expect my battery to last ... how about "forever!" If I never had to buy another one and the current battery ran "forever!" I'd be delighted!
