How long do we want batteries to last ?
IMO, and IME, nothing is simpler to maintain than LA RV batteries. When connected to a decent charger, and watered once...maybe twice a year, and maybe hosed off once in a while, they last an easy 8-1...

I get over 8 years from a set of flooded cell t-105s. That's about my expectation. I usually check water level every couple of months and they require adding water about twice a year. They are usually kept on charger most of the time when not in use.
