How long do we want batteries to last ?
IMO, and IME, nothing is simpler to maintain than LA RV batteries. When connected to a decent charger, and watered once...maybe twice a year, and maybe hosed off once in a while, they last an easy 8-1...

Truck battery:
First went 38 months so just out of oem warranty.
Second was Sam's Club went maybe 48 months but gave up membership so bought new at Costco.
Costco lasted 34 months and full original price refunded when I bought a new battery at Costco.
This 4th battery is still working after a couple years. Now mostly in storage and trailer solar gives maintenance charge through Trik-L-Start.
Never watered any of these.
