How long do we want batteries to last ?
IMO, and IME, nothing is simpler to maintain than LA RV batteries. When connected to a decent charger, and watered once...maybe twice a year, and maybe hosed off once in a while, they last an easy 8-1...

I gotta get that book on annual watering and give it to my garden. Sucker's killing me, demanding agua every two or three days. Same with the grand kids. "Abuelito, Abuelito! Tenemos Sed!"
Maintenance free living. Self bathing, shaving, eating, clothes that wash themselves, permanent 5:00 buzz. New "I-Think" cap. Simply think about what you wish to purchase and it flies through your window three days later.
All these conveniences will therefore allow a lot more time for constructive things, like interminable hours spent with suicidal grade boredom. Or more time for doctor visits due to cardiovascular disease caused by inactivity.
