How many amps at controller and brakes magnets?

Trailer brakes are getting weak. I already pulled the brake drums and don't see any grease on them. I adjusted brakes shoes and no improvement to stopping. Don't know how old brake controller is. ...

OK thanks folks. Voltage.

Do you think I'm starting trouble shooting right way or is there something else I should do or check first? My initial thinking was to make sure I'm getting enough juice out of controller. And then make check to see if that juice was making it to brakes.

Is my thinking right or wrong?
