Ah, another well-educated answer. And like all fertilizers, to much can cause devastating effects. It might be able to handle nature's load but not the man-made addition. Also, think about times in history when Mother Nature couldn't handle the load and caused the earth to go dark. Sure it comes back, it always will.
Well if that's the case they haven't found the upper limit to CO2 for plants. It's long been the practice to burn material in greenhouses to boost the CO2 and increase plant growth. Actually plants may do just fine in a 100 percent CO2 atmosphere.
