How often to drain and flush water heater
What is the recommendation for draining and flushing your water heater? How often if used once a month or two?

- We use ours year round but during the slow season I go out and fire it up every 2 or 3 weeks and run water through everything. I'm on well water so I keep the system fresh.
- Once a year here as well. Used to do it when I winterized, now I do it when we head south for the winter.
- I drain flush mine when winterizing and also about half way through summer. I am at a seasonal site with hard water. Considerable amount of silt, scale builds up when I use.
- I only do it when i winterize
- I drain ours at the end of each season when I winterize. That's it.
- Trailer Life magazine had some maintenance tips in it this month's issue and they suggested the water heater be flushed once a year at the end of the season.
