You've got alum siding. Mount the antenna on the side, base contact with the alum will solve the problem. Besides it will be less likely to leak on the side. The drivers side will hit less tree limbs.

Or several strip of Aluminum tape arranged in a star pattern on the roof with the antenna in the center. Thats more than any of my antennas have from the factory.. :(
