How to make AC plugs work without shore power.

I need the AC plugs to work without being plugged into shore power. This is not to run the air conditioner or microwave. I just need the AC plugs to work. How can this be accomplished safely?

    Generator or inverter.
    Really depends on how much power you need.
    What are you trying to run and for how long?
