Inverter mounted on a plate.
Cut an aluminum or galvanized flat plate slightly wider but same length as inverter. Slightly wider so that mounting the inverter with velcro or high strenght adhesive to the plate, the slightly wider plate will allow drilling holes at the mounting locations. I think the high strenght adhesive will be the best choice as plugging and unplugging will try to torque the unit away from the plate. Unless you use industrial strength velcro it will probably pull away. Industrial strenght velcro is available at major home stores.
