How to Order the Right 220V MALE Plug?

240-20-A

240-30-A

Each progressively bigger. They would not use a 240 receptacle too small in ampere capacity for the machine. How many watts is the machine?

Or take a close up picture of the receptacle on the generator and go to Home Depot and purchase the one that is a match for it. All done in one trip. :@

The plug is likely a standard plug.. You can look up NEMA plugs and recptacles
and get a chart.. Like this one
This is one way to do it... a good way in fact. Compare the pictures to the outlet.

(I did not see any "Twist lock" outlets in that chart though, most generators the 240 volt outlet is a twist lock).

Another is to take a ruler, lay it under the outlet and snap a photo using your smart phone.. Take same ruler to hardware/electrical store and match the pattern. NOTE you need to mentally reverse the photo (or you can flip it if you know how to do that) to pattern match,, I just do it mentally.

In fact this is how I do it when I go plug shopping.

Try IDing your connector at this page - scroll down for the NEMA configurations section...

Look real close at the receptacle built into the generator It will say right on it what the voltage is and the amps are, also look at it to see if it's 3 or 4 pin. Then get a male cord cap rated the same.
