How to remove a hose flat spot?

My RV's black tank flush hose is restricted because a curve in the nylon reinforced hose has flattened the hose just behind the external hookup. This is the hose that you hook up to a garden hose to spray the inside of the tank to remove uhhhh stuff.

Do gear clamps on the hose work? 

Is there another method?

You really can't see the specific hose here because it's behind the transfer switch but it's pretty much exactly like these. It's a mess and I'd really prefer not to try to replumb it.
