When there is a big slope, we use blocks to begin the leveling process then activate the auto-level on our HWH jacks. We bought hosspads and they work much better than the plastic blocks by themselves. Very heavy and solid so they don't get crushed so easy. We put the hosspads under the jacks, not under the wheels. I've seen many rvs with the wheels off the ground, so I assume it is safe. (We're kinda new to this too as we have only had our new RV with HWH jacks for less than a year.)
