Engine still burns hydrocarbons or is it dehydrated cow farts?
What gets me is the extreme absence of intelligence when it comes to alternatives. Intermediate steps that will work NOW. How can these @#$%&! hypocrites bounce up in down with joy at the thought of CLEAN AIR (!) in 2045 while the other side of their mouth is screeching
"WE ARE OUT OF TIME! NOW!"
Take a look at propane or butane. The absence of sulfur (acid rain) the dramatic reduction in hydrocarbons, CO and CO2.
Then government ignores these RIGHT NOW tangible steps and taxes the living snot out out of liquid petroleum gas for public use, spends hundreds of millions of dollars on buses that use natural gas.
Talk about hypocrisy.

I dove past a liquefied natural gas port on Mexico's west coast yesterday that is shipping a hundred thousand tons of natural gas USA gas, to China PER WEEK. The cost is one eleventh the price of nationally distributed gas in the USA. Proven reserves of natural gas in the USA is 11,000 years.
I saw twenty six 11,000 gallon tankers of LPG butane waiting to enter Mexico yesterday at Otay Mesa. The highly taxed gas sold here costs HALF THAT of gas in the USA.
