From the last picture, I would try to find a repair shop that actually cares about the result. Have them reorient and replace all of the oddball items present. You should be able to stand next to the person either writing the service order or the person doing the work and end up with a punch list of items to be changed or repaired. This way, everyone concerned is familiar with the work to be accomplished and there will be no irresponsibility, suing, or aggravation.
Pump noise: there are more than a few threads on the Forum about this. What it boils down to is that the small Shurflo type 12V pumps are noisy. Methods to remove noise include, isolating the pump and it's mounting surface with rubber (try an old mouse pad), using soft hose between the pump supply and pump outlet plumbing, using an accumulator tank (these shorten the duration of pump running and don't actually effect the amount of pump noise).
