When I first got my monitor I was acting/thinking like it was 100% accurate.
Now the only time I think it is 100% accurate, is after an EQ cycle, my SG reads 1.280 or above, and it then says 0 amp hours from full.
I don't trust that blinking green light, But when I show my system to 12v newbies it really impresses, that blinking green light. I think perhaps one can make millions by selling little green lights and putting them near electronics, and have them flash at different intervals.
I can start my engine in Absorption, and not even have the house battery hooked to the alternator, yet the monitor will still see the amps passing through the shunt, and go instantly to 100% and 0 amp hours from full. Annoying.
The percentage remaining screen is a joke anyway, but I get annoyed when it jumps to 0 from full when I know it is 10 or 15 away, at least.
My Blue sky monitor is needed more for changing Solar voltage setpoints/ durations. I love being able to see what the solar is making, how much of that is going into the batteries, and how much various loads are consuming. The X a/h from full screen is handy, the total A/h used, the total solar AH returned screens are neat. The percentage screen, is useless in my opinion.
I'll believe the Ammeter as I verified it with other sources, but the counting a/h part, I take than number with a large grain of salt.
Still beats voltage as an SOC indicator by a factor of 10 though
