More info needed, is the air conditioner the plug-in corded type, or hard wired?
IF corded, is there still power at the receptacle?...When running genny, is genny in the 'economy' mode or normal output mode?
My Guess is that you have a power supply problem and the ac unit is smart thus timing-out due to sensing start-up voltage sag...Again just a guess...
