I've lived an overly long life with a built-in BS Detector. I read in the 1990's the Prospectus from the Madoff group. A long-link chain from me to a Friend's - friend - father had me ridiculing the too-good-to-be-true trading by the Madoff group. My grumbles were ridiculed. I ended up owning this individual's automobile when he passed away soon after after losing several million dollars.

The grid balance in California, is so acute that the installation of several million solar intertie panels tipped supply just past the threshold of mandatory rolling blackouts.
Some wise person is needed to inform me. Californians rejected nuclear. They reject hydrocarbon generation plants, and hydroelectric is saturated to the almost bitter end of its potential. Even sheer canyon walled minor streams are barred from having a hydroelectric dam installed. More hydroelectric on the Colorado River is contraindicated. Between Hoover and Parker dams, little excess flow exists. Temporal rainfall is used to replete reservoir levels. To reduce flow for another low head dam would destroy Imperial Valley agriculture. Shasta is saturated, Berryessa and Clear Lakes barely have enough input to maintain lake levels with little outflow.
Yes of course, hot air from Sacramento could in theory levitate the Empire State Building to Mars and beyond.
Where are the plans? Show me one freaking paragraph that deals with this. Tera-watt Hours of miracle energy. Anyone talking about trebling the major intertie grids? What do you mean "Not One Word?"
I've seen too much hare-brained idealism to last half a dozen lifetimes. Chanting. No Plans. Control the environment by raising taxes and instituting governing bodies who use ten times the amount of energy they try to save.
Deal with GENERATING, TRANSMISSION, AND DISTRIBUTION, FIRST. Enact constitutional guarantees of energy cost to consumers. EXPLAIN IN non-failed-lawyer-legalize how these plans are going to be enacted and existence of guaranteed dates of completion. THEN and ONLY THEN allow idiots like California governor Jerry Brown to provoke electric vehicle exclusively mandates.
And OH YEAH! Tax the living snot out of marijuana growers who waste thousands of Kilowatt Hours growing recreational intoxicants.
