Ice cream stays soft. Wonder why?
Our 5 yr. old Norcold works fine. Only issue is DW ice cream (sugar free) stays soft. All other items in the freezer compartment is frozen solid!! :h

Having similar problems with my setup I sometimes bring along my DORM SIZE smaller compressor type fridge if we going to be staying for several days. This has a freezer compartment where my inside fridge does not...
Fortunate for me I have enough room on my trailer front deck to haul the extra fridge with us.
When camping at regular electric camp sites its not so much a problem as we usually only have two days of frozen food with us at any given time. Have to go get ice everyday anyway.
Its only a problem when we are camping off the power grid somewhere and have to live out of the 5-day ice chest and generator power for the fridge a couple of times a day.
I like to have some ice cream every now and then as well...
We manage the best we can with what we have...
