Ice maker not working

Question

I have a Samsung RF 18 residentual fridge and the ice maker is not workign correctly.
It willl make a tray of ice but not dump it till I push the test button. It dumps and then it fills and makes ice again but doesn't auto dump and start over. It only dumps when I push the test button. The arm does go down and back up testing the ice level when it dumps, and lets water in makes ice but doesn't dump again on its own.
Any ideas?

There is a heater in the ice maker to allow it to dump. Replace the icemaker. They are pretty generic and can be found on Amazon complete for around $30.00

It dumps jsut fine when I press the test button. It doesn't get hung but doesn'trepeat the process.

There is also a rotary sequencer  switch on the icemaker. Could have a bad contact. Everything is usually internal to the ice maker with only a plug for AC. Icemaker is probably bad.
