Even if it is properly winterized that water line is the crackingest thing I'v ever seen..
I fixed mine and improved the operation of the ice maker big time, I now get (if I wish) Way more ice, where before I kept running out.
I removed it and put in a pair of Rubbermaid Ice Cube trays. (I can put 4 of them in there if I need serious ice and dump them in the ice maker's bucket so I can fill it in about a day. And still use ice as I do it.)
