I have swapped out to LED's did that in my last rig... did it in this one... I'm installing a switch to cut my stereo power when its not in use... that is a huge drain... I'm most likely going to get a PD charger/converter or I am going to swap out the WFCO for a BoonDocker system from Bestconverter.com
I do have a generator. its great. its Boliy unit. runs like a champ.
I'm not too new at this. this is the first big electrical job I'm tackling.
I want to set it up once... and allow myself to upgrade to GC batteries when these are done. I have a meter on order so i can map my AH draw at night . I can generally go two days in between generator runs. Most of that draw o course is the stereo and fridge and the other parasitic loads.
I currently run a small inverter to run the TV at night in our sleep area and a small one in the kids bunkhouse. 300w. it is switched. so when its not in use its either unplugged or off
our goal is to do more dry camping... I don't want to run the generator unless i have to.
