There are MANY others here on the forum that have mounted battery boxes on their rear bumpers. Your TT is probably 34 ft long including the tongue. I doubt it will affect your handling. With our 5er, a rear kitchen model so the galley grey water tank is at the rear, if I leave that full I can feel it when towing. Don't like that feel, so I try to have it empty when towing. Don't know if that would be different with a TT than a 5er for handling.
AFAIK the farther back the weight is from the axle pivot point the worse it would be.
