indicator panel reading 11v. Newbie!!!

We just bought a used 2006 four winds chateau, its a class c. I noticed that the indicator panel has three LEDs for the battery. 12v, 11v and 10v. I'm having trouble finding out what these really mean. But when we are freshly unplugged we are at 11v. I have no idea how old the batteries are but have a feeling this means they might be bad.. and we are about to hit the road for six weeks. Any info? Or do you know how to get the batteries tested/replaced? I'm guessing its not as easy as hitting the local pep boys!

  • It can be as easy as removing the batteries and taking them to an auto parts store for testing.
One tool that all RV owners should have is a hand held meter. With that, you can measure the actual voltage of your batteries instead of relying on the notoriously inaccurate LED lights.
