Induction Cooking In An RV Cutting Down On Heat Effect

I checked the cupboards and found an egg poacher that was sort of magnetic. Somehow cast iron and springs and tires do not seem to mix very well. Any clue as to the grades of stainless that work the best ie 18-8 versus 18-10? Most of my cookware is copper clad :(
