Looks great, but my concern (you are worried about a few holes when removed), is, what happens to your fine nice panel walls after you go down the road a few thousand miles and that mount system vibrates and slightly shifts from road twisting and vibration????? Me thinks you will have marred wall panels that will look extremely worse than a few mount holes. Doug
Thanks Doug I have considered that to be an issue but I just didn't want to take the chance of a poor mount job. And to be honest, i'm not that worried about a couple of screw holes as I am having the tv fall off the wall. I have no idea whats behind those panels for an anchor point. I have it fit very tight so I don't think there will be any movement but your point is well taken. And you know, if I could find a decent place to throw in a few screws for stability I would consider it. Maybe some anti-scuff material on the backside?
I install a small plywood board mounted to the back wall stud. There will be a wall stud, maybe just one but there will be one. Usually 3 to 4 screws will hold that plywood mount plate and then you install the LCD metal mount assbly to tthat backer plate. But, yes, some type of felt on the back of your mount would prevent marring the wall panels. Doug
