Good point in that a dual system can pull power from a gfi on one side- common to have a 30 and a 20 gfi outlet- because of the separate neutral conductors, whereas trying to run a 50 amp service from a 30 and a 20 gfi will not work- the hot and neutral will be unbalanced.
