I would be concerned about that too.
How about rigid foam insulation held up with screws (and large diameter fiber) in the areas that you feel comfortable putting it?
Where you can't put the foam, maybe you could put some sheet metal on short (same height as the foam is thick so the foam can be part of the support) standoffs, creating a air space below the floor?
Other than increased comfort for your feet, I wonder if doing all this work would result in enough of a reduction in heat loss to make it worthwhile? I really don't know.
