Interesting struggles - jack/fridge/water heater

Think with all the junk she's brought along on this 10 day trip, not only exceed capacity of the F150 and trailer, but not sure a 5th wheel could've handled it all...

Got a later start then I wanted, put me at the beginning of rush hour traffic heading north out of Detroit.

We stopped after about 3.5 hours, because one of the dogs was acting like they had to go... but neither one would. Opened up the trailer, and she didn't get the freezer door closed tight, and it had opened up spilling some frozen food onto the floor. :(

Finally get to the campground, and tongue jack won't move. Won't move up, won't move down. FROZEN. Grabbed my electric screw gun... and that won't move it either. Finally grab a breaker bar, and it moves a little bit one way, and then a little bit the other way and finally breaks free. I'm suspecting a broken tooth right now.

I put in a quick drain on the water heater... and now that it's nice and hot, I see a little dripping...

sigh
  • Yeah....but your camping!

Add on items for water heater should have temp/pressure ratings in excess of 250*/150 psi so they are safe to use.
  • Always check the charge on your battery drill used for your stabilizers the day before. Yup I learned the hard way, too.
My power tongue jack has a brake on it and a little "key" attached to the manual emergency crank.

2 brand new 6V batteries that were fully charged :)

No, this was completely jammed, as a FOD was in the gear
