Our Dometic has always performed well and is still chilling just like the day it left the sales lot 9 years ago. My concern when we had 4 to 6 kids camping with us early on was recovery time as the fridge door was being continuously opened throughout the day. Started with the d-cell battery fan which helped but did not have quite the force I needed which led me to buy and add yet another one in hopes of better results.
Besides their lackluster operation they had to have the batteries replaced a couple times a season. Found the above fan about 7 years ago and purchased it directly from their website, which was shipped out the same day. Received it a couple of days later and it easily installed to the power wire feeding our interior light. Wow, what a difference as it moved several times the air as both of the D-cell fans combined.
I was happy as this interior fan effectively promotes even cooling throughout your fridge's interior and draws a negligible amount of DC from your battery bank which works great for us since we often camp off the power grid. Only problem we had is we inadvertently shoved something against one of the fans and broke off a fan blade. Called to order another fan and they just sent out a whole other unit for free which now has fan grids to prevent anything from touching fan blades.
