Since the Magnum inverter has a built in transfer switch and 125 amp charger, I'm going to install a 50 amp plug to run a line directly into the inverter for efficient charging.
I want to run the A/C output of the inverter directly into the fuse box and power all the outlets in the trailer. This is where I'm a little confused, and can use the wisdom of this group. Is this nothing more than running 10AWG wire from the inverter into the fuse box, or is there something more complicated?
You need to reread the install instructions or something.
No you do not install a second cord. You cut into the existing cord inside the RV. All power flows through the inverter. Unless you have no power then you turn on the inverter and it feeds power to the panel.
Now is this a 50 amp RV? Power cord has three prongs(30a) or four (50a)?
If it is 50a RV you will only be able to power one side of the main panel so maybe some circuits will need to be moved.
