sorry for the confusion from my inexperience regarding this matter. Yes, it must seem like prying teeth to get the correct information. Let me tell you what I know. When I plug the shore power cord into the 30 amp box which runs from the inverter via one of the 2 plugs in the inverter and I power up the inverter it does not power up if I have the main breaker switch of converter in the off position. there are other breakers besides the main on the converter (air cond. portable appliances, general purpose, electric heat and hot water tank. If i turn converter main back on the inverter powers up and all outlets work. The bad news is according to you guys this is not the way it is supposed to function. I do no understand this because it tells us that somehow they are tied together. As previously stated I am not using inverter until problem is resolved. I hope the transfer switch will solve this. Where and how is this installation done.
