I have the 2000w version of that MSW inverter and there is nothing in the manual for trouble shooting low AC output. Seems like you get AC out or not.
The voltage looks like a non-RMS meter reading, so maybe the meter lost that feature? No idea. ( I get 90a with my meter on battery input for the inverter)
I don't follow how the voltage went up when under load. You say "now" so what did it used to do under the same conditions?

I don't know why but when I first powered the Vector the meter read 94v-then I turned on the hair dryer to put a load on and the volts climbed to 98 and held steady.
My other inverter is working and reading on my meter properly so negate a bad meter.
