  • On a 2007 Winnebago with inverter problems it sounds like the G-3 Dip Switch may have been turned to the up position, it should be in the down position.
  • From the description
You are using more power from the batteries than you are putting back
You need to run the generator more and use the inverter less
You might need new batteries and maybe more of them
But you certainly need to charge them more
Use the inverter for TV and charging mobile devices
But run the generator for the coffee maker...microwave, any electric cooking, hair dryer etc..
Make sure water heater is on propane aka L.P. not electric
Make sure the fridge is on propane L.P. Not on auto where it might be running on electric from the inverter which pulls lots of power from the batteries to power the heating element that makes the fridge work
if the fridge has an ICE maker..turn it off..it uses electric power

and you might need 3~4 hours (maybe more) of generator run time (every day)
    JUST to do battery charging

you did not mention shore power
IF you are plugged in somewhere and have this problem..then you probably have problems with the "automatic transfer switch"
that switches between generator and shore power..which should be keeping everything powered up

more information..would help us ..help you
  • Hi,

The reason for the dead batteries is the inverter has been trying to carry the load for the RV.
  • Something else is going on if a 12V water pump is also dead. That means stone dead batteries, and the charger may not detect a battery with enough voltage to even charge
  • Connection with shore power does not work?
Do you have a converter along with an inverter? Converter is bad or the 120 volt supply could be defective It is possible that the 120 volt AC circuit has a tripped breaker or there is a GFCI receptacle tripped or bad.
Genset goes through the transfer switch and works.
Sounds like there could be two problems.
    The shore power cord defective
The transfer switch is not operating properly

Please check the following and report back.
connection to shore power has no effect
You do not hear transfer switch operate when connecting to shore power
